SLX Error: InterBase error, unable to connect to host database
Version: All
Platform: InterBase
Problem:
Workgroup users may see errors in either Windows 95 Version B or Version C environment when using InterBase and are unable to connect to the host database.
Solution:
This occurs with the database platform InterBase and can indicate that the ib_licen.dat file that controls licensing for InterBase is corrupt. Stop InterBase on the machine with the corrupt file and replace the corrupt ib_licen.dat file (found in C:\Program Files\Borland\IntrBase) with ib_licen.zip. Remember to start InterBase again after replacing the file.
