SPXLINK Error while initializing KC from map file

Problem:

SPXLINK error message while running DBTransport

Solution:

Check the number of InterBase licenses available by right clicking on the InterBase icon in the Windows Task Bar, and selecting Properties. At least 4 licenses need to be available and unused, for the DBTransport to work, since SPXLINK makes several simultaneous connections to the InterBase Server. If you have access to InterBase Server Manager, launch the .exe and increase the number of licenses available. Otherwise, replace your current IB_Licen.dat file (in c:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\Bde) with a 999-user license file, IB_Licen.dat, which can be found on the SalesLogix CD in the Utilities folder.

Error examples:

"Error occurred initializing KC from map file. Exception occurred. Error occurred executing INITOBJECT. Processing halted."
