Account Visibility
Problem:
Want to restrict Account managers from seeing their own account.
Solution:
- Visibility is set by the owner of the account not the account manager
for the contact. You would have to set the owner to the contact (contact.seccodeid) to that users' id and then customize it to achieve that level of security.
- Or you could create teams for each account manager and set ownership to the team – restricting others from seeing accounts owned by other teams, finally you can have a corporate team that can see all the accounts.
Example:
Team A = Account Manager A
Team B = Account Manager B
Support = All support users
In the teams you have the following:
Team A =Account Manager A and Support
Team B = Account Manager B and Support
Now Account Manager A only sees Accounts belonging to Team A
Account Manager B only sees accounts belonging to Team B
Support can see all accounts
